Transcend Completes SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance: Strengthening Our Ongoing Commitment to Data Security

Transcend · December 3, 2025

Transcend has successfully completed another SOC 2 Type 2 audit, reinforcing our commitment to data security and privacy.

But what exactly is a SOC 2 Type 2 report and why is it important?

A SOC 2 Type 2 report is an in-depth audit report prepared by an independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm. Its full name is System and Organization Controls 2 Type 2.

In simple terms, it’s a way for your company to prove that you’re securely managing customer data over a sustained period of time.

  • Focus: It focuses on a service organization’s controls relevant to the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of the data they handle. These are known as the Trust Services Criteria (TSC). Security is the only required criterion, but companies often include others like Availability and Confidentiality based on their services.
  • The “Type 2” Distinction: This is the most critical part. “Type 2″ means the audit assesses both the design of your security controls and their operating effectiveness over a period of time, typically 3 to 12 months.

Transcend’s Commitment

At Transcend, our commitment to your privacy and security has always been our core focus. As we’ve rapidly grown and our customers’ needs have followed suit, we’ve invested heavily to not just meet those expectations, but to exceed them. The completion of the audit ensures that we continue to meet the highest standards of data security and compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 criteria. Transcend became SOC2 compliant in August 2022 and have been audited by a third party since that time.

It’s not just a one-time accomplishment for us. We are committed to maintaining this high level of security and have implemented a yearly cadence of remaining compliant with SOC 2 requirements and re-acquiring the attestation.

Completing the SOC 2 Type 2 audit demonstrates Transcend’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data security and compliance. Our team will continue to work hard to ensure that our users’ data is always secure, and that they can trust us with their most sensitive information.

It’s also worth noting that we could not have done it without the help of our partner, Gloster Cloud and our internal team.
