Transcend and Mekorot Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Water Infrastructure Design

Princeton, 3/10/25 – Transcend, the global leader in generative design for critical infrastructure, and Mekorot, Israel’s national water company and a global pioneer in water innovation, have announced a strategic collaboration to revolutionize the design process for booster station design, network rehabilitation, and water infrastructure expansion.

Through this partnership, Mekorot will leverage the Transcend Design Generator (TDG) platform to optimize the planning and conceptual design of critical water infrastructure projects. The integration of Transcend’s engineering design intelligence platform into Mekorot’s planning & engineering workflows will enable teams to rapidly optimize preliminary designs for existing booster stations, network expansions, and rehabilitation efforts, enhancing project feasibility and accelerating decision-making.

“Our collaboration with Mekorot underscores Transcend’s commitment to transforming infrastructure design through automation and standardized data,” said Ari Raivetz, CEO of Transcend. “By bringing digital engineering to booster station design and network rehabilitation, we are helping utilities and governments enhance water distribution with greater efficiency and confidence.”

As part of the partnership, Mekorot and Transcend will also collaborate on a first-of-its-kind desalination design application. This module will streamline the conceptual design process for desalination plants, allowing utilities and engineering firms to rapidly evaluate project feasibility and optimize technical solutions. Desalination plays a key role in securing potable water resources for the future, and this collaboration will set new standards for efficiency and innovation in plant design.

“Working with the latest digital technologies is a critical component of securing water resources for future generations,” said Yossi Yaacoby, Vice President of Engineering at Mekorot. “By collaborating with Transcend, we are equipping ourselves and the industry with groundbreaking digital workflows that will set a new standard for water infrastructure planning & design.”
